Lot 202 Browning Superposed 'Broadway Pigeon Grade' 12 Ga

'2 Barrel Set' Belgium made Over/Under box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells manufactured circa 1966, and imported by Browning Arms Company. Featuring blued finished 28" broadway style vent ribbed barrels, barrels marked for & measure Full / Mod, ejectors, Bradley style front sight with white insert, gold-toned single smooth curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, and a checkered top lever. The receiver, top lever, and trigger guard display full coverage of upland game, floral and scroll engravings with edge designs. The receiver and its parts are French Grey finished with the barrels being a blued finish. Fancy figured high gloss walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist & inlayed silver escutcheon engraved "LWK", long lower tang, sliding checkered forend with deeley latch release, 14" length-of-pull, 1-3/8" drop at comb, 2-1/8" drop at heel, and a black ventilated Pachmayr rubber recoil pad with black spacer. The original blued finish retained is approximately 99% with superficial scratches, and the barrels are turning slightly plum. The French Grey metal finish is excellent with little remarkable to speak of. Metal displays some miniscule pin-prick pitting on the right side of the barrels, barely detectible. Furniture wood looks near excellent with light superficial scratches, and a ding on the forend. Bores are excellent and bright with the bottom bore looking a little dirty. The action is opens easily with solid lock-up and the top lever standing left of center. This shotgun includes original luggage style brown Browning faux leather factory hard-case, and extra set of barrels. The extra set of blued barrels feature a Broadway style vent rib, Bradley style front sight with white insert, fancy figured checkered walnut sliding forend with deeley latch release, ejectors, 2 3/4" chambers, both bore measures 'IC' with a drop-in gauge. Extra barrel's metal condition shows a small spot of rust on the left side of the vent rib about 1 1/2" in front of the forend. This shotgun would be excellent without the observed pitting, or rust.
Condition is NRA Good.
